Dumbo: Arts Under the Bridge Festival

Solo Show in Dumbo Sept 24th-26th
I'm having a solo show of some new ceramic work during the Arts Under the Bridge Festival in Dumbo section of Brooklyn this weekend, Sept 24th-26th.

Gallery hours: Friday 6-8, Sat 11-8 and Sun 11-3
Wine and Cheese Reception Fri & Sat 6-8
Direction: F train to york stop, cross Jay St cont. on York St., turn right on Washington, go another 3 blks., corner of Washington & Water
It should be an amazing weekend with lots of open studios, outside art &performances,

Baltimore Clayworks: Body & Soul Show
I got two pieces in a really great group show at the Baltimore Clayworks in Baltimore, Maryland this November. The juror is Arthur Gonzalez an artist whose work I've loved for years and guess what, he likes mine too! If you're in the neighborhood, come check out the show! Baltimore Clayworks is proud to host Body and Soul a figurative sculptural exhibition juried by Arthur Gonzalez. This exhibition runs October 2nd – November 13th, 2010 with an opening reception on Saturday, November 13th, from 6 to 8 pm. Admission is free.
Body and Soul explores the depth of expression in contemporary figurative ceramic sculpture. The exhibition features artists who use the figure as a whole or fragmented, realistic or abstract, utilizing traditional and non-traditional surface treatments and materials.

To Die For
Projects Gallery is pleased to present To Die For from April 2 - May 1, 2010. To Die For is one of 95 exhibitions that are part of INDEPENDENCE: The 44th Annual National Council on Education for the Ceramic Arts (NCECA) conference taking place in Philadelphia from March 31 – April 3, 2010.
Whether in effigy pots, vase paintings, or offerings to the dead, ceramics has always been a significant material in the world of the rituals of death, spirituality, and transformation. Dealing with the nature of mortality, issues of loss, hosts, ghosts, surrounding fears, and the meaning of life or afterlife, To Die For is co-curated by Judith Schwartz and Jack Thompson. Featuring work by: Lesley Baker, Jill Marleah Bell, Mark Burns, Richard Cleaver, Atilla Dabasi, Kristine (Tinne) Debruijne, John DeFazio, Harris Deller, Janice Farley, David Furman, Peter Gourfain, Frank Hyder, Margaret Keelan, Kathy King, Charles Krafft, Todd Leech, Kate Missett, Gregg Moore, Sana Musasama, Matt Nolen, Denise Pelletier, Allison Petroski, Mel Rubin, Kathy Ruttenberg, Bonnie Seeman, Arun Sharma, Richard Shaw, Susanne G. Work from 2009
I just added new images of work I made in 2009. 2010 is looking good so far! I have 2 shows coming up, one in Brooklyn and one NYC. I'm also in the process of putting together a solo show in Philadelphia that will take place during the NCECA conference. Details on the shows and images of more work to follow
